5 Mystery Game Demos From Steam Next Fest June 2024

Another roundup of mystery game demos from Steam Next Fest!

Happy Mystery Monday!

Last week was Steam Next Fest, which had over 50 games tagged “Detective!” Unfortunately my time this week was short, so I couldn’t actually play too many, but I briefly played and personally enjoyed these 5 demos:

1. of the Devil

Immerse yourself in neon, smoke, and high-stakes legal gambles as a Defense Attorney with uniquely Killer insights in this diabolically stylish visual novel adventure game.

2. The Crimson Diamond

Follow amateur geologist and reluctant detective Nancy Maple to the ghost town of Crimson, Ontario to investigate the discovery of a massive diamond in this retro-inspired, EGA text parser mystery adventure!

3. The Operator

Welcome to the FDI. As our newest Operator, your role is to use your detective skills to assist our field agents and investigate mysterious crimes. Use cutting-edge FDI software to dig for clues, solve puzzles, and uncover the truth.

4. On Your Tail

Embark on an intriguing seaside getaway you’ll never forget in On Your Tail™, a sleuthy story-driven 3D life sim of relaxation, investigation, and knowing how to play your cards right.

5. CLUAIDO

A procedural mystery game where you play as a detective racing against time to solve a murder case. As toxic gas slowly shrinks the map, find hidden clues and freely interrogate suspects with open-ended questioning. Manage your investigation under increasing pressure in a challenge against time.
