Happy Mystery Monday!
Today marks the start of Steam’s Scream Fest. With hundreds of Halloween-themed mystery games on sale this week, there are plenty of games to keep you busy on a dark and stormy night.
The soundtrack and behind-the-scenes development book for our own Halloween-themed (and award-winning) mystery game Reaplaced are also on sale, so now is the perfect time to check them out!
Anyway — here’s a quick list of some recently released mystery games fitting for the spooky season:
1. DAEMON MASQUERADE
An anime-inspired supernatural detective game. Uncover the identities and powers of your adversaries using a conspiracy board full of evidence.
2. Puppet House
Puppet House is a puzzle-adventure horror with escape room elements. A freak ritual creates a killer puppet, murdering anyone who enters the ventriloquist’s mansion. Detective Rick, seeking missing locals, will soon face his greatest horror.
3. Connection: The Nightmare Within
Inspired by the classics such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Alone In the Dark: Detective Stone investigates a shadow conspiracy. Explore atmospheric levels, fight monsters, and solve puzzles. Unravel a story of twists and turns. Choose classic fixed camera, or over-the-shoulder.
4. The Devil is in the Details
You're trapped in hell, and the only way out is to beat the devil at its own game. With the help of a mysterious entity known only as 'The Arbiter,' navigate through ominous surroundings and place talismans on anomalies while trying to survive the many traps and foes lurking in the shadows.
5. Where is Billy?
Where is Billy? is a hide-and-seek party game for 2-8 players playable locally and online. Figure out which character you are and blend into the crowd to complete various objectives across multiple game modes. Act natural, avoid detection, and outsmart your opponents!
