Time Management for Mystery Gamedevs
How to find the time for your project when you need to meet a deadline
Happy Mystery Monday!
We're already halfway through the Mystery Game Jam! Time really flies when you're having fun, doesn't it?
I've seen a lot of great progress being posted in the Discord server and on the jam's message board, and I'm excited to play everyone's games!
However, despite the generous time limit of 30 days, it seems like people are still running into the all-too-common issue of scope creep. Or, at the very least, they've overestimated what they can actually accomplish within a 30 day time limit.
I've also been running into the same problem of time management lately. I really want to submit my own entry to the jam, but I'm actually running behind on a lot of different things, so even I'm a little nervous about whether I can get something done in time.
Today's post, exclusive to our paid subscribers, will be relevant to anyone who struggles to manage their time while working on a project. More specifically, I'm going to explain what you can do when you're in the especially bad situation of approaching a deadline with an unfinished project, and how you can turn things around and make a strong comeback during your darkest hour.
