Top 5 Mystery Games on Sale From Steam's Dinos vs Robots Fest
Plus 3 themed mystery games from the Mystery Gamedev community!
Happy Mystery Monday!
Today marks the beginning of Steam’s Dinos vs Robots Fest!
Last time there was a Steam fest, I (accidentally) waited until the end.
This time I’m going to share the games at the beginning, so you have time to take advantage of their discounts!
Disclaimer: This time, I haven’t actually played these, so I can’t tell you whether or not they’re any good (not sponsored, either). But maybe you’ll find some hidden gems in here!
Subsurface Circular (20% off)
When the truth is buried, go underground. Step into this new take on text-based adventure from the award-winning team behind Thomas Was Alone and Volume. A short story that hands you the fate of the world above, as a detective looking for answers on the Subsurface Circular.
The Secret of Retropolis 1 & 2 Bundle (29% off)
The Secret of Retropolis is a VR narrative game of a new kind, a blend of classic point-and-click adventure with immersive cinematography. Embody the witty protagonist of a film noir plot. Meet unforgettable characters. Solve puzzles. Lose yourself in the retro-futuristic atmosphere.
Immerse yourself in the shadows, where danger lurks and every step leads you further to the edge of madness. Navigate the neon-lit streets as robo-detective Philip Log and search for Jenny Montage, the automated femme fatale, in this gritty post-apocalyptic saga.
Space Detective: The Case of the Rebel Robot (35% off)
Uncover cosmic conspiracies in "Space Detective: The Case of the Rebel Robot," a Sci-Fi Mystery Point-and-Click Adventure with a twist of Yuri Dating Sim. Solve the murder, present your case to the incoming Marshal, and navigate your choices to unlock unexpected lesbian romances!
Clash: Robot Detective - Complete Edition (35% off)
A relaxing time on a high-tech cruise ship turns into a mystery for the ages! The robot staff onboard the Violet Skies have been getting hacked and turning violent by a mysterious third party. You are hired by Clash, a sentient robotic police assistant turned investigator, to find whoever is responsible before it is too late.
Justice.exe (50% off)
Justice.exe is a dialogue-heavy dystopian legal drama in which you defend sentient AI in court. Discover key story elements in dialogue, build your case by studying arguments, and engage the opposing counsel in wits, charisma and skullduggery. Small choices might alter the fate of your clients.
BONUS: From Our Community
These games technically aren’t on sale, but they are being featured in the festival, so be sure to check these games out, too!
GENBA no Kizuna
A Mesozoic murder mystery, 4 suspects, 1 truth. Investigate, interrogate and present evidence as you set out to unravel the case with your team. Will you be able to accurately determine who took the victim's life? Or will your deductions lead you to arrest someone for a crime they did not commit...?
Sadly this was the only dinosaur-themed mystery game I could find in the fest.
But having known the developers myself for years, and from their previous game SHINRAI, I can guarantee it’s worth adding to your Steam wishlist!
Robot Daycare
A visual novel about raising a cute robot child, which may or may not go horribly wrong. Your choices decide the outcome.
How much of this is a mystery I’m not 100% sure, but it is tagged Mystery and the dev’s other games Locke(d) and Artificial Selection definitely are!
Anamnesia - part 1: am i my body?
Sci-Fi Mystery Visual Novel. Nine people are trapped in an underground research facility, forced to play a game of life and death. Check your log to find the truth that connects those apparent strangers - if you even want to, that is.
Technically not taking part in the Steam Fest, this sci-fi mystery game just released on Steam a few days ago, and it would be remiss of me to not mention it now.
The characters are cyborgs, and that’s close enough to robots, right?
It’s free to play, and I highly recommend it!
Thanks for reading!
